Empowering the Next Generation: Mentoring Future Farmers

It’s been a great year for Mzwandile Duma.

Mzwandile is a mentor for many World Poultry Foundation-supported apprentices at the Future Farmers Foundation, the foundation that provides meaningful employment for Future Farmers and assists in developing them in their full potential.

Mzwandile’s involvement the Future Farmers foundation spans a decade, being one of the earliest participants of the program, who is now turning back to extend helping hands to other Future Farmers through mentorship. A dairy grower by training, he is also qualified to mentor project management practices and other entrepreneurial efforts.

In 2018, Mzwandile earned a certificate from the South African national government in agricultural training programs for youth, and was recently awarded “Champion for Social Entrepreneurs” by the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

To learn more about Mzwandile’s work and efforts advancing and empowering agriculture in South Africa and beyond, I invite you to download and share our official press release.

The World Poultry Foundation is fortunate to have Mzwandile preparing aspiring poultry farmers for a productive future in the South African industry.  Keep the apprentices coming, Mzwandile!
